I am on the fence when it comes to Mantras.
I believe in energy and intention. I believe in words being meaningful and powerful. I believe in setting the terms for your own life.
So mantras have the potential to be helpful. I have also heard that it is more helpful to say mantras you actually genuinely believe. You can’t trick yourself.
So edit any of these mantras to be more true and believable for you. No use repeating phrases that get an unwanted mental reponsse of “yea RIGHT”.
Also, use these however you please. Repeat them. Write them down. Look at them occasionally for inspiration. Choose one and write it down somewhere you can see it often. Or just use them as a compass for where you would like to get. Or roll your eyes at them. Whatever you like.
EATING SHOULD BE EASY
I TRUST THAT IN TIME EATING WILL BE EASY FOR ME AGAIN
MY BODY KNOWS, AND HAS ALWAYS KNOWN, HOW MUCH FOOD I NEED
MY BODY KNOWS THE RIGHT WEIGHT FOR ME, AND I TRUST IT
MY BODY KNOWS MY RIGHT WEIGHT BETTER THAN MY MIND OR EXPECTATIONS
MY BODY KNOWS MY RIGHT WEIGHT BETTER THAN SOCIETY OR MAGAZINES
I CHOOSE TO TRUST MY BODY AND MY WEIGHT WHEREVER IT FALLS
THE FOOD I CRAVE IS THE FOOD I SHOULD EAT
I CHOOSE TO EAT WITH THE INTENTION OF NOURISHMENT, NOT RESTRICTION
I CAN BE BEAUTIFUL AT ANY WEIGHT, AND THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN TRUE
TRUSTING MY BODY MAKES ME STRONG
I TRUST THAT IF I WANT TO EAT, I SHOULD EAT
I TRUST THAT IF I WANT TO KEEP EATING, I SHOULD KEEP EATING
THERE IS NO PERFECT STOPPING POINT FOR EATING, IT IS MERELY A SCALE OF SATIATION
THE LONGER I EAT WHAT I WANT, THE EASIER IT WILL GET TO TRUST MY BODY AND FOOD
A FED BODY RESPONDS WELL TO ALL FOODS
EXERCISE SHOULD ALWAYS BE FUN AND INVIGORATING
I ACCEPT THE ADVENTURE OF LETTING GO OF CONTROL
I ACCEPT THE ADVENTURE OF NOT KNOWING HOW MUCH I WEIGH
I ACCEPT THE ADVENTURE AND CHALLENGE OF TRUSTING THIS PROCESS
